[Book] Exploration & Discovery
From my research so far, and being influenced by the red leaflet case I decided to create a sculpture piece built from a mass of indiviual triangular prisms as a response.

Graphical Outcomes
The sculptural outcome reminded me of a cloud or the relief of a landscape, I drew over these angles in photoshop and it has produced an abstract design.
By laying these lines, I wanted to relate back to my project exploring sequences and a sence of routine, the idea of sleep patterns and dreams being a constant element in our lives has slightly interested me. I think asbtract pieces such as this could show these patterns and waves in a alternative visual form.

Hungry?
Here I have explored an aspect of my own day to day routine. Experimenting with my photographs as well as linking back to previous ideas based on sequences. These pieces focus on the cycle of mealtimes during the day.

In developing my ideas gathered from my research and experimentation, I have created a series of designs linking to the idea of activities that take place within my daily routine. The styles of these pieces relate to my artist studies influenced with aspects from both Barbara Kruger and Scott King. I think the combination black vectors and against the red back-drop work effectively well together, creating a direct and intense atmosphere to the viewer. I intend refine elements of this idea I have explored and reference these images developing further designs in my work.

Zine: A collection of sequences/ lines/ and layers.
Here I have created a zine, bringing my ideas and experimental pieces into a booklet. This zine reflects my project based on sequencing and a cycle that occurs in our everyday lives. Much of the work comprises of photographs and scans that have been approriated to link with my conceptual ideas.
Creating outcomes for my coursework project exploring sequencing, and considering elements of information graphics, I’m intending to create a set of posters which depict a cycle of my daily routine.
Secondary Image Ideas:

Primary Photo: CD Scan

I like the idea of using a circle or sphere to represent a cycle, I can incorporate lines to show connections and links with my images and data which depict my routine.
Sequences & Routine: Week Playlist
Here I have briefly experimented with a photography exploring the concepts of exploring the days of the week, I can relate this to my theme of sequences and develop this concept within the pieces of my work.

Here I have updated my Zine, compiling more images from my experiments and designs, based on my project of sequences.
Below I have developed my string experimentation pieces further, creating more abstract and complex sphere diagrams. I think this image below has worked successfully as a piece itself where each if the points and connections could reflect a unit of time passing by or day. Having a full circle with these connections reminds me of the globe map and trading links, ideas of this full sphere also relates to ideas of a full cycle and consisting of different points that continue as build as a sequence in my project.

Below I’ve developed further ideas exploring the idea of time and a cycle within the day, each point representing a different hour. Using just the colour Red relates back to the artist Barbara Kruger and the colour works of her conceptual text boxes in her designs. The geometric lines in these diagrams also relate back to my artist study of Alexander Rodchenko and has strong elements of constructivist design.

Information Graphics development piece:
For the design below I linked the ideas of the sphere being a full cycle and how my hours are wasted during the day. I’ve used the data collected earlier as research to create this piece, and have used a colour scheme linking back to work of my artists. I think this piece has potential to continue to be developed into poster designs and other similar pieces reflecting the idea of routines and time.

Here I have began developing some potential designs to link to the project, I have continued to re-contextualise the image of my string sphere as I think there is a strong idea of a complete cycle within them. I like the use of grid paper as the back drop for the designs below as it adds a textured quality to the designs and works well complementing the string lines and aligns the pieces in a regimented order.

Illustrator Experimentation

Leading towards my final outcomes creating zines, I wanted to experiment with creating pages, using different media and techniques. These pieces below have primarily been photocopied from illustrations and designs I have created digitally in my experimentation. I think as a set of designs individually they are quite weak in content and revealing a concept and idea to the viewer, placing a collection of these random images and photographs together I feel will present a strong link within these pieces to the theme and ideas of my project based on sequencing and daily routine.
